Are you looking for a safe… gentle… NON-spooky… reliable… horse for trail riding??? You have found your perfect match!!! Meet Starsky, the most unique horse we have ever offered! Starsky is a nicely built, 14.2h, 15-year-old, Leopard, Walkaloosa Gelding!!! We originally sold Starsky and several others to a long-time customer in California. This lady has trail ridden all of her horses and mules and always loaned them out for her friends to come over and ride. She has owned Starsky for almost 4 years. But at the age of 84 years old, she had an accident where she tripped over her dog leash and broke both knees and her wrist.

Now, 6 months later, still with a long road to recovery ahead of her and barely being able to walk without assistance, getting back to caring for her herd of horses/mules and trail riding are far, far out of the question. She sent her crew back to us in January and requested that we find them another great home, as we intend to do!! Starsky was one of her favorites to loan out for her friends and neighbors to ride! She said he would always care for anyone, regardless of how old or young they were, sit there, and Starsky would do the work and keep them safe!! Starsky has been on several camping trips to different states, ridden in several parades, and shown at local fun shows where he always got a ribbon. Starsky has the most natural 4-beat gait, and he will flatfoot walk on a loose rein as long as you like, or he will move out easily. He is safe for all types of riders. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, over large noisy tarps, and has also had guns shot off of his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, he is not spooky on the trails; he is always great! Starsky has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer, turkey, and other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles on the beaches of California, in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and attitude about whatever he is asked to do.
