Ihre DNA bestätigt, dass sie 50% Friese und 50% Quarter Horse ist. Sie hat ein Gewicht von 15h, 996lbs mit dem größeren Knochenbau eines Friesen zusammen mit der dicken Mähne und dem Schweif eines Zugpferdes. Sie ist pflegeleicht und ernährt sich von Gras, Heu und Luzerne, obwohl sie bei schwerem Training ein paar Schaufeln Futter gut gebrauchen kann. Wandering Spirit is a 6 yr old Friesian Sport Horse buckskin mare. She is confirmed through DNA to be 50% Frieisan and 50% Quarter Horse. She stands just at 15hh, 996lbs with the larger bone structure of a friesian along with the thick draft mane and tail. She is an easy keeper and lives on grass hay and alfalfa, though during heavy training she does well to have a couple scoops of feed. She had her first colt in 2024 which was a big boy with a Friesian/Clydesdale cross sire. She birthed easy and fast especially with such a large baby. She does well with AI and will stand in or out of stocks or for ultrasounds. She is currently open. She was an excellent mom, ok with people handling her baby and also in a herd of other mares and babies. Excellent milk production! She is laid back in the pasture with the other horses. She likes to eat first but wont fight for it. She is easy to catch, most of the time she is first at the gate. She stands cross tied to be bathed and will stand tied to be groomed and braided. Though her hooves are on the larger side shes never needed to be put in stocks to be trimmed. She has always been barefoot with no issues on a trail, in the pastures or in an arena with soreness. She will load and unload perfectly and stands quiet in a trailer or tied to the side. She loves attention but will maintain good ground manners. She has an easy, laid back riding style. Was trained in western but can easily be english as well. She excels over any and all obstacles outside, through water, rides well in an arena and has even been in a Christmas parade and hasn’t spooked once or offered to buck. She has beautiful movement and willingness to learn a new skill. She would be the perfect partner for the trails or in the show ring. Elle est facile à élever et vit de foin d'herbe et de luzerne, bien que pendant les entraînements intensifs, elle ait besoin de quelques boules de nourriture. Elle a eu son premier poulain en 2024, un grand garçon issu d'un croisement Frison/Clydesdale. Elle a mis bas facilement et rapidement, surtout avec un si gros bébé.
