JLD Oaken King “Trigger” is a big gorgeous gelding that I am proud to offer. He is a beautiful palomino gelding with unique dark spots throughout his coat in the winter, and in the summer he sheds out to a gorgeous golden color. We have pics showing what he looks like in the winter and the summer. We have owned this one for quite some time, and he has been through our program with and passed with flying colors. He has been trail ridden a lot, and he has been exposed to all kinds of trail obstacles. He loves attention, he meets you at the gate, and he will do anything you ask him to do. This nice gelding has very smooth gaits and crosses easily through water, rocky terrain, bridges and logs. He is also good in the arena, he picks up both leads with ease and lopes slow and correct circles on a loose rein. He’s got a nice easy stop that he really hunts for. He has good handle, he sidepasses, has nice turnarounds, and he backs up softly. He is very soft in the face and rides great in just a snaffle, but he will also ride in any kind of bridle you would like. Trigger has been exposed to loud noises, carrying flags, ropes, traffic, dogs, water, and bridges and he takes it all in stride. I really can’t say enough good things about him. He is the kind you don’t find every day. He has all the size and ability to go on and make a top head horse or he would be happy to just go on leisurely trail rides, too. He knows how to lay down, sit up, and he will sidepass to get you off of a mounting block or gate. He can go in any direction you want him. He is sound.
