This guy is #2 of our personal geldings we are sadly going to part with this year. Kodak is everything anyone could want and more. This gelding has the most heart and want to please in any horse we have ever owned. He will never quit you and does anything and more of what he is asked for. Kodak is registered AQHA, 5 years old, stands 15.2hh tall and weighs 1300lbs. He is put together correct and always looks outstanding. He will usually stay coal black but the Texas sun faded him just a bit this year. He has a gorgeous mane and very thick tail. Kodak is very easy to handle, stands for everything from shoeing to saddling. He loads like a dream and hauls good with other horses and cattle. He stays turned out with 4 other geldings and a mini pony, gets along good with mares as well and does fine in a stall. We took him on a month long summer rodeo run earlier this year and he was fantastic. He did great tied to the trailer and took in all the sights and noises of a new busy fairground every single day. We took him as our back up and he handled every run like a pro.
Kodak not only excels as a head horse, but also a jam up barrel horse. He clocked right in there with the best of them at a few rodeos this year. You don’t have to practice much with him just send him down the alley and let him do his job. He has a lot of run and keeps it fun every time, absolutely no alley issues whatsoever and he walks right in any setup. Runs in a short shank snaffle or o ring with no tie down. On the head side, you couldn’t ask for a more versatile gelding. He has been rode by everyone from a #8 to a #3 and adjust to every single different roper. Kodak has an outstanding move on and faces quick and snappy. He has a pretty show horse run/move with the rodeo horse quickness. He stays very light in the face and a pro in the box. Scores good and takes as many as you want to run. We have breakawayed some on him as well. Kodak is pretty enough, and classy enough to go to the show pen as well and would be great at that as well. Kodak came out of the north, Canada, and is strong and athletic. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect horse and it has been a very hard decision to part with him.
